Greatest Christmas Gift!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year! We spent ours up in Price with the Burrows side of the family. As usual, Jason spoiled me despite the warnings I gave him. This year, however, he gave a present that goes above and beyond what I wanted for Christmas, but it is the best gift for us right now during the holidays. Jason booked us a CRUISE to the Bahama's during New Years Eve!!! We just love to travel and had a wonderful time on our last cruise, and Jason said that he wanted us to have the most relaxing vacation to start off the 2011 year. We are actually leaving tomorrow so have a wonderful New Year's Eve and we will see you all next year :)

This picture is a collage of pictures that we took recently in Philadelphia. I know I need to put up those pictures and tell the stories of our great adventures out there. This picture was taken by the famous "Love" scuplture in, go figure, Love Park. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Philadelphia, since it is the town of brotherly love, and we had a blast walking around and enjoying the park. I loved hearing the story about the man who built the "Love" sculpture and someone asked him why he built it with "O" tilted. The man just replied that love doesn't always have to be perfect.
I will be sure to post the rest of the Philadelphia pictures later. Have a great Friday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!
It's that time of year again when the most important man in my life gets to celebrate the day he was born. That's right, it is Jason's Birthday. Well, actually his birthday was on Monday, but we were celebrating his birthday from 6am to midnight so that didn't give a lot of time to post anything for his special day.
It was different to get to celebrate Jason's birthday at home, since the last two years we have been out of the state for his birthday, due the my ASHA conference we have been attending for 3 years now. Two years ago Jason was in Chicago for his birthday, where he got to decide what we did and he chose to go out to Ruth Chris' for an incredibly fancy dinner and the best tasting steak! Last year Jason was in New Orleans for his birthday, which is a party town anyways that celebrating his birthday was easy out there! Now we are back to having his birthday at home, which meant that I got to come up with a theme again. Every year for Jason's birthday, when we weren't traveling, I would come up with a theme to make his birthday that mouch more special. One year we had watched some of the episodes of the show "24," so for Jason's birthday that year he had 24 presents for the whole day, and he had to wait every hour to receive a new one.
This year I was thinking of all the different themes I could do, and I couldn't help but be inspired by one of our favorite rides from Disneyland, Pirates of the Caribbean. This meant Jason was going on a Treasure Hunt. He started off the day with me bouncing on the bed so excited and waiting for him to wake up. I hope he was okay with me waking him up early, but to me his birthday is more exciting than Christmas. Once he became conscious he was given a note explaining how his presents had been hidden this year, and he was given little treasure boxes that gave him clues where they were hidden. I don't think I was really mean about where I hid some of the presents, such as the trunk of the car, under the bed, and in the shower (the presents didn't get wet). While Jason was following his clues I was resisting giving him extra clues and made him a nice hot breakfast. It is always hard to have your birthday on a weekday, especially when you are like Jason and I where we work full-time and are busy throughout the week, but we celebrated as much as we could. I hid a secret love note in Jason's jacket and surprised him with a lunch, and Jason's work is always sweet and celebrates everyone's birthday with cake. Every year Jason gets to decide what he wants to do for dinner on his bday, and this year he wanted to go do the "All you can eat Sushi" meal. Let's just say that by the end, I thought we were going to explode of rice and yellowtail. I hope Jason had a fantastic birthday and I just want to let him know how much I love him. Jason, you are the man that I grew up dreaming and wishing for to hold my hand and be by my side forever. You have grown up to be a man that I am so proud of and love to be around every second of every day. I often get asked why Jason and I love to travel so much, and my answer is because Jason and I hate to be apart when we are at work, so traveling is out time when we get to be together 24/7, which is all we want. I love the fact that I am always finding out new information about Jason, and we are constantly coming up with inside jokes. I love that fact that I can get Jason to blush, and that I will never win in a tickle war with him. He is the greatest man I know and someday he will make the most amazing father. I love you, sweetheart!

Fall Pictures 2010
Here are some of the fall pictures that we took not too long ago. Every year I always look forward to the fall season. I don't know why I love it so much. Maybe it's because of the nice weather or the beautiful colors of the trees, but I just love it! We always want to take pictures every year with the fall leaves, but in St. George fall takes an awful long time to get here. Even right now only a few trees in town are turning colors. We get fall pictures around Christmas time. I'm not complaining because I love the weather in St. George, but this year Jason and I couldn't wait for fall to come to us. We had to go find the fall tress. Thank goodness Pine Valley isn't too far. We love going up to Pine Valley and we timed it just right this year because the trees were breathtaking! The weather was perfect and the leaves were a golden yellow. Anyways, here are some pictures from that wonderful day!

Here is a new picture of Jason and me. I think it's cute because Jason just melts me when we touch noses.
This picture is from a group of Fall pictures we recently took, so I will have to post those pictures later. For now Jason and I are packing to get ready to go to Philadelphia for the ASHA convention. Yeah!!

This Halloween Jason and I thought it would be funny to dress up as something a little different, so here is Jason as his Avatar. It was actually quite easy to do this costume because it only required A LOT of blue makeup. I thought Jason looked the best and then we wore vampire teeth for our fangs. I still remember going to our Halloween party and when Matt saw us he just shook his head at us. Anyways, hopefully this picture isn't too scary, because I think Jason makes a good-lookin Avatar.

Zoom Zoom- Fast and Furious Weekend
This last weekend Jason and I were lucky enough this last weekend to be able to head down to Vegas to the Speedway for the NHRA Nationals (drag racing). Michelle's Dad raced early Saturday morning and we knew we didn't want to miss that so we made sure to get up for that. We had so much fun being with the Loeffler's and watching the races. This video is of Michelle's Dad, Skip, doing his second run of the day. Jason got to go watch this race at the starting line because he got a special pass. You should have seen how excited he was... he thought Christmas came early!

Later in the day we got to see the Top Fuel Dragsters which shook my socks off! They were awesome to see but if you blinked you wouldn't see them at all!
We had so much fun and are grateful for the Loeffler's letting us come and hang out with them during the weekend. Thanks so much!!

Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze Pictures
Just this last week Jason and I were lucky enough to join Kurt, Shel, Drewbie, and Matters at the local corn maze and pumpkin patch. We had so much fun there and I was very impressed with all of the themed activities they had there to keep the kids (and us adults) entertained.
Went down these slides made out of pipes. The bottom of the slide was filled with hardened corn. Here is Drewbie demonstrating his graceful landing skills.
You could race rubber ducks in these PVC pipes with the provided water pumps. This was so clever and fun to do, even though Shelli kept trying to cheat! Jason's ducky in this picture is the pink one and Shel's the yellow one... looks like it might be tie!
The boys loved these swings made out of tires to look like horses. I loved the way Matt refused to look at the camera, but he was laughing and having such a good time shouting "faster" that we still got a good picture of him. Drewbie always looks good in his pictures, too!
We then took a tractor ride to the pumpkin patch. It was so fun to go and pick out pumpkins and watch as the boys tried to lift pumpkins as big as them. It was such a nice day and we were there right as the sun was setting. We couldn't have asked for a better evening!
The boys were tired of lifting pumpkins, so they decided to use them as seats.

Finally we went off to the corn maze when it got dark. I remember doing the corn mazes here growing up, so it was a special treat to take the boys. We got in to the maze, but the boys didn't really care about finding their way out, they just liked jumping out from around the corners and scaring everyone. Eventually the boys got bored of the maze so we found our way out and went home.
Before we left, Kurt convinced Drewbie to get on top of this huge pile of hay and jump off to him. Here is Drewbie in action!

This picture is a recent one where Jason and I were lucky enough to join Kurt, Shelli, Drew, and Matt and go to the local corn maze and pumpkin patch here in St. George. We will post more pictures from that fun event, but for now here is the picture of me and Jason looking for a pumpkin.

Also, it is one month to Jason's birthday (Nov. 22) and I am so excited to celebrate his birthday and spoil him the way he spoils me every day! Just thought I would give him a little payback for stealing my sketches! Hey, I'm not saying how old he is...yet! I love you, Jason!!

Shh...I stole these from Lisa
So, one of the things that Lisa loves to do in her spare time is to sketch. Usually she will get her inspiration from things she sees around her. Recently, after coming back from Disneyland, Lisa was watching a few Disney movies, just "Keeping the dream alive." She did some amazing sketches, and when she wasn't looking I took them and scanned them in. I just wanted everyone to know how talented Lisa is, and show off her stuff. Here are just a few.

These pictures are of Kurt n' Shel and their cute boys, Drew and Matt. We just love their family and love being down here in St. George so we can be around them more. I love it that Drewbie always asks if I brought him a game to play with from my preschool, and how Matt jumps for joy every time he sees Jason. They all look so cute in these pictures and I am glad that they got some good family photos.

Here are some pictures that we took a while ago and we finally decided to put them up on the blog. For some reason, Jason and I don't really need a reason to take pictures together. I think the occassion for this photo shoot was that we had a really good week so we took some pictures on the weekend because we were so happy. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
