Favorite Picture Friday: April 30th, 2010

This picture is in honor of when Jason and I received our Bachelor's Degrees from USU 2 years ago! How often do a husband and wife get to graduate on the same day? It was a really special day for us and we loved being together during the ceremonies. It was a crazy weekend too because we had to pack up and leave to St. George that day and didn't arrive until 1:00am, but who needs sleep? I was looking through these pictures because it is getting so close when I will be able to walk, once again, at a graduation ceremony! 1 week and counting down to a Master's Degree!

Favorite Picture Friday: April 23, 2010

I have been wanting to do something with silhouettes lately, and then I was looking through some of our wedding pictures and found this picture. This picture is across the street from the St. George Temple underneath some trees that are actually gone now! I love the contrasting colors in this picture, with the brightness of the temple and sky compared to Jason and me with the leaves. Even though we are blacked out, you can still tell that Jason and I are smiling at each other. :)

Spring Pictures 2010

There is not much to say about these pictures, because it was just a nice day and we had a camera. That's it!

Favorite Picture Friday: April 16th, 2010

This is one of our favorite pictures from our first trip to Europe. It makes us just homesick for London, which is probably the coolest place on Earth! Really, there are no words to describe how amazing London is, with the theaters, the resteraunts, the sites, and the people. I remember when we were still in Europe Jason turned to me and said that we have to come back and visit London. We still dream of when we can go again!
I love the artistic irony of this picture because it is capturing Big Ben, one of the most iconic sites in the entire world, and then the "Underground" sign. It is showing the constrast between the historic part of London and modern London.

Michelle and Trevor visit us!

When Jason and I want to have a fun day, we call our friends, Michelle and Trevor, to come down and visit us. We alway have such a good time when they come. We went on one of my favorite hikes down here in St. George, called Red Cliffs. When you go on the hike at the rigt time of the year, there are pools throughout the hike. The water was WAY too cold for us, so we stayed dry this time. Here are some pictures from this gorgeous hike:

After our hike, Meesh and I went shopping and then all four of us played laser tag, mini golf, and then ate delicious food and played board games. What a great weekend!! I always find it easier to go back to work when the weekend has been worthwhile.

P.S. Thanks you guys for the awesome game day T-shirts! We love them!!

Favorite Picture Friday

It is my turn again! (Jason) This week I wanted to do one of my favorite pictures that we took this last weekend from Easter. Lisa and I got to hide the Easter Eggs for the kids. As of Wednesday, Drew was still finding eggs that we hid. Can you find the egg?

Look closer.

Pretty cool huh?

My feet brought home a souvenir from Disney World

While we were out in Disney World, my feet began to hurt. This wasn’t just tired of walking hurt, this was “What in the world?” kind of hurt. I just limped along through Disney World, trying not to slow us down. Jason kept telling me that we should go get it checked out, but he should have known better than try to take me away from Disney World and take me to a doctors. Honestly! But I did promise that I would get them checked out when we got home. I just went to the podiatrist and after looking at my x-rays he said that I had brought home a souvenir in my left foot. A stress fracture. I also told the doctor that I would feel a “popping” sound in my foot whenever I stepped on it. He said, additionally, I had a nerve locked between my joints. He felt around my left foot and then twisted his wrist and POP went my foot! My eyes grew wide as I tried to hide the pain! He just pushed the nerve out and he said it is going to hurt for a few days but otherwise it would continue to grow worse. He also gave me a shot to calm the nerve down so it doesn’t get locked again, but at that point my foot hurt so bad that one little shot didn’t bother me. Along with the stress fracture, it’s no wonder why my left foot was killing me. At Disneyworld, I began to put more pressure on my right foot due to the pain in my left foot, which naturally made that hurt as well during the trip. The podiatrist said that it is amazing that I was able to continue to walk around Disney World without a wheelchair. I guess there was some Disney magic that helped me get through it! My left foot still hurts a little bit, especially after today, but he said that all will be well in the next 4-6 weeks. My only piece of advice from this is: Get the wheelchair at Disney World (shorter lines!).

Favorite Picture Friday: April 2nd

We have finally gone through all 8,000 pictures we took at Disney World and pulled out our favorite ones. This one was taken in the Magic Kingdom on one of the rainy days. We had fantastic weather for most of the time, but a few hours were a little wet! We took cover under the rides with roofs, and found The Cinderella Carousel. I think carousels are great and I like the way this picture turned out. We will put up some of our favorite Disney World pictures soon so you can view them as you like.
