Favorite Picture Friday: August 27th, 2010

These pictures for Favorite Picture Friday obviously aren't of Jason and me. These pictures are of Ty (Tyrell) who is our relative on the Barnum side. Let's see here, he is my brother's wifes' sister's son... so basically we are family. Ty's getting ready to leave on his mission this next week and we are so proud of him. He drove down from Oak City to get some pictures taken at the temple, which Jason took. It was quite a combination for Jason and Ty to work together, because there were some amazing shots of him! Hopefully these shots will give Ty's mom something great to look at for the next two years. Here are just a few of our favorites of him. Thanks for letting us take pictures of you Ty, and we will miss you!

Fun & FAST Weekend

This last weekend was a ton of blast for us. We started the weekend by attending the Burrows Family Reunion in Spanish Fork. It was wonderful to see everyone since we don't usually get to. Once the reunion was over, Jason and I decided we would go and spend some time up in Park City. We spent most of our time at the Olympic Park, where there is a ton of memorabilia from the Olympics. I liked seeing it, but I know it meant so much more to Jason because he was up in Park City volunteering during the Olympics. We thought we should get our adrenaline going, so we rode the Alpine Slide. It was awesome and I forgot how much fun it is to basically go down a huge slide along the mountain side.

After that Jason thought we needed one more rush for the day, so we decided to go on the Olympic bobsled course. It was intense! I don't really know how to describe the feeling of going 70 mph down a steep slope in a metal casket, because there just isn't anything to compare to it. One second you are being pushed down the hill going at a comfortable pace, and then the next turn you are sideways screaming around the next turn where you feel like you are going to flip upside down any second. Imagine the scariest rollercoaster ride you've ever been on, and this goes way beyond that.

Favorite Picture Friday

Here is a picture of Lisa that was recently taken on our trip to Egypt. Lisa doesn't know that I am putting this up, but I told her I would take care of the post today. I think the picture is so dynamic and her eyes look amazing.

Styx Concert

Lisa and I had the chance the other night to go see Styx in concert out at Tuachan. It is nice to have Tuachan here in St. George as they truly have been able to have some great performers and shows here since we have been in St. George. Lisa and I have been to one other Styx concert before, and we told each other after that first concert that we would go to each Styx concert that we had an opportunity to do so. They are one of the best performing bands live that we have ever seen. This performance didn't disappoint. They sounded amazing, and it was absolutely worth it!

Our camera doesn't do it justice, but below is a video from the encore song (Renegade, which is arguably one of Lisa's favorite songs) that Styx performed at their concert. It will give you a taste of what the concert was like.

Favorite Picture Friday: Aug. 6th, 2010

Of course for Favorite Picture Friday we are going to do a picture from our recent trip, mainly because we are still going through the pictures ourselves. This collage is of us and our feet at the Dead Sea.
